Perhaps you've heard of My First Pony? Here's My First Yaesu.

Earlier this week, the lovely FTM-200D pictured here (upper right) arrived from @croyle and is now freshly programmed and in its perch as my base station VHF/UHF unit. Although with APRS and such, it may well leave the shack from time-to-time.

So far, I find it to be a really nice radio, and look forward to tinkering with WIRES-X and what-not in the weeks and months ahead.

For sure, lots to offer. I just returned to it after ~20 years away, and find that it's broader and deeper than ever. So many aspects of it to explore.

Lots of amateur radio peeps here on Mastodon; following one of the tags will surface lots of discussion, and many active posters here to follow as well!

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how it came-out after I cleaned-up my area last week, consolidated my computers, etc.

Scroll back in my posts to last weekend... there's a full shack shot there, but the IC-7000 is now in my POTA bag full-time, with the Yaesu in its place.

I have a ton of ham adjacent and other stuff to sell, but I almost never see for sale posts on mastodon so I don’t know if it’s appropriate or not? Maybe I should just post a link to a webpage with all my stuff for sale.

I got my FTM-200D through a Mastodon post too!

I'm in favor of more sales via mastodon. (if it's not someone's primary reason for posting here, otherwise they might get muted) Tried to get #FediHamFest going as a tag for it too.
