We must stop treating people as expendable.

“Covid is only a risk to the vulnerable” has given way to “only sick children should die of measles.”

We’ve embraced eugenics, and many folks don’t even realize it.

Every time you say “did they have a pre-existing condition” when someone dies… you’re making it easier for fascists to eliminate us

@broadwaybabyto its always the right wing lunitic christians who dont realize how darwinistic they sound when they find the most round about way to say that they are just okay with sick and poor people dying

@broadwaybabyto

Stephen Hawkings would have been let die by the fascists....

@broadwaybabyto I have, what I call, two easy mode chronic illness. Celiac on the lighter end and a brain tumor that was safer to leave in place. But they both changed the direction of my life. Even I need to be reminded from time to time that the small accommodations I need shouldn't need justification, and if I don't need it, who does? Thanks for what you do, and the way you frame your thoughts.

@broadwaybabyto @socketwench "did they have a pre-existing condition" yeah, that's called being alive. I'm certain they wouldn't have died if they weren't.

Edited to add:
Also, would you like them to have such conditions? Signed, person with type 1 diabetes after flu.

@broadwaybabyto

The sentences "only sick children should die of measles" and "sick children should die" don't have essentially different meanings, and we should form the appropriate opinion of anyone who says either of them.

@broadwaybabyto
Apart from this, the claim is untrue: COVID significantly harms and kills non-vulnerable, too. (And many who are vulnerable aren't aware they are.)

#COVID #COVIDIsnNotOver

@broadwaybabyto Yup! Don't forget that for insurance companies pregnancy is a "pre existing condition".
@broadwaybabyto
And at this point, "pre-existing condition" *IS* a previous #Covid infection.
@broadwaybabyto People are stupid, that's why.
