At the moment, I'm so far down this possibly escapist rabbit-hole that when the news, BAFTA awards, or anything current comes on TV, they feel like they belong to another time, and are nothing to me but a foul and pestilent congregation of vapors.

@Richard_Littler I’m not a Catholic, but I keep returning to the Tallis Scholars’ recordings of Byrd’s three Masses. Hauntingly beautiful and profound - I came to them through Peter Hammill’s fascinating “tribute” video in 2013, where he explains their background and why the Byrd Masses mean so much to him. https://youtu.be/8zjOAotyjEo
