One of the weirdest digital things about moving to a new country has been all the App Store region locked apps that are totally essential for basic utilities, shopping, and digital ID. If you have any Apple Care plans, you cannot switch region -until they expire-. So the only thing I have figured is making a second icloud in Australia and scheduling hours (because of the timer) to deregister and reregister my phone, install the apps in bulk, then switch back.
tldr; if you make apps that are like important to survive in a country please do not region lock them
@hacks4pancakes Even just visiting countries and trying to use consumer services that are geolocked. Most fast food in the US and UK are app based, get an eSIM in another country and unable to manage it because the website always redirects to the app etc.
