I'm glad I didn't waste my time and money going to the cinema. Boring, to say the least. Bad script, shallow villainsâa film not worth making. Sonyâs usual work with Marvel. â â
Wasted opportunity: A legendary Spider-Manâs foe turned into an âEco-Punisher.â Kraven even defeated Spider-Man once, and making him an animal-protector villain doesnât make sense. It seems the writers were obliged to make a Kraven film but didnât know what to do without using Spider-Man.
Other wasted opportunity: Rhino and Chameleon, dull and meaningless characters.
Sony didnât learn from Madame Web that Spider-Man villains without Spider-Man donât work, making the same mistakes again. It even has a dramatic end, suggesting that more is still to come when it, probably, would never happen.
