Nature rocking #SolarPunk in this spring heatwave. Noontime. Somewhere in the high 90F. Honestly, I don't want to know. I can tell it's way too hot for late spring today.

1/n Fig tree canopy is holding so far. Several figs on tree already being protected by leaves. The lens flare really captures what it feels like today

2/n The California poppies all have petals open to the sun. This year they are a mix of all orange flowers and ones that are tipped with sunshine gold
3/n These honey bees are everywhere. I don't know how they can fly in this heat. Hard core resistors.
4/n I did have a large Carpenter bee say hello, but no way to get a picture. She was off in a flash. I was able to find a tiny Halictus. She was moving fast collecting the pollen to provision her nest. I was able to get a pic of her leaping to fly off to next bloom.
5/5 a point and shoot and see what happens pic. Amazing that what seems delicate has such strength. I'm sure this California poppy has been open for days already. It still is facing the sun and taking it all in
