Trying to do the right thing and take a dead laptop (securely wiped) for recycling. Did my research, and found that all Officeworks stores accept computers and laptops, hurray! There is even one easily accessed via public transport!

Except they don't. And the staff have no idea which I can recycle it. And suggested Bunnings. So I've taken an old dead laptop for a long outing this evening.

@Jforced haha oh no. that doesn't surprise me!

I recycled some old laptops at an ewaste disposal at a particular council a little while back, I'd have to look up which one. You have to go during office hours so they'll unlock the bin for you though. Lemme know if you want the details!

@Joshsharp thanks for the offer - I know of 2 council locations who would take it, but neither particularly easy to get to unfortunately! I might have to seek help from someone else to drop it off.
