And another thing. I pay for #YouTube Premium. I WANT to support creators. But it isn't cheap. Paying #YouTube customers should be able to control whether they are inundated with Shorts or not. #Google is just saying "Screw You" to paying subscribers. So very like Google these days.

@lauren I personally prefer having shorts in my subscriptions feed (because there are creators I follow explicitly for their "shorts" content), but I absolutely agree that it should be an option for all users as to whether or not to enable it.

(Obligatory "Sundar needs to go").

@dreynolds How can you tolerate shorts? They just loop inanely, and there's no indication how recent they are -- no date at all with the thumbnail. Just garbage, clearly designed for suckers with microscopic attention spans.

@lauren I only watch shorts from the people I intentionally follow, so in *general* they're current since they would otherwise not show up in my subscriptions feed.

Some creators recently have been repurposing old shorts/content, which I've noticed only because I've seen them before. Otherwise, I suppose it's just a crapshoot, but then I'd unfollow them anyway.

Putting the date on the thumbnail would be a great start for them.
