Hike this morning, with a fair bit of bushwhacking following new streams and interesting colors. Efts were everywhere.
Let's start with some fungi.
#fungus #mosstodon #mushtodon
Next up: frogs, flowers, and ferns. The two frogs I saw in lake didn't look totally reconstituted yet. Ferns are still popping out of ground and unwinding, and there's a lot more flowers now.
#frog #ferns #bloomscrolling
Some oddities and a token Eft.
Last one: short video of Winter Wren singing along a random spot in the woods while bushwhacking.
@jerzone Tiny little thing with the massive sound!
@danmccullough Contrasted to the big owl I saw that didn’t make a sound.
@jerzone the king of birds! :)

@jerzone One of my favorite bird songs! So lively and bubbly!

Here's a closeup I managed to get of one of those little boppers. Silent, but fun to watch.

@DaleTrexel Troglodyte?
Looks quick. I never caught a glimpse of it, but it filled the woods with sound.
@jerzone They do like to build nests in cavities!
@jerzone was looking for efts on my run this am, after all the rain was surprised to not see any
@m750 Didn’t see quite as many on yesterday’s ride. Wonder if cooler temps slowing them down or they are wallowing in all the new water?
@jerzone wow, spectacular!
