@elizach Forbidden Island was the first game I bought after discovering modern boardgames. It's still a favorite.
More recently I discovered that there is a cooperative version of Carcassonne (called Mists over Carcassonne ) and was surprised by how well it works, given that the original can be very cut-throat.
