My husband says he just accidentally discovered that in Oblivion Remastered, if you shoot an arrow while sneaking and then hotkey to a dagger before the arrow connects, you get the dagger's much larger sneak attack multiplier.

that's a real Classic of Bug right there

"I thought you said you'd attribute it to your BRILLIANT husband. this is not the post we negotiated."

@0xabad1dea its bugs like that that made me stop playing oblivion.

I’m definitely going to try it again soon.

@0xabad1dea Time of check, time of use. Literally.
@0xabad1dea This on top of the fact that camoflauge spells absolutely break the game (at least in the old ver.) makes it pretty fun for stealth builds.

@0xabad1dea

ISTR in the original Sim City you could have 0% tax rate for most of the year, attracting people, only to crank it to max for year end, collecting max tax, and returning to 0% before people started complaining.

@0xabad1dea the effects of different versions of the same spell stacks so if you got 3 different feather spells as an example, you WILL carry all that loot back to town. New graphics, same good old bugs. *chefs kiss*

@0xabad1dea in Command and Conquer: Red Alert, you could tell your grenadiers to attack something nearby, in range, and as they were winding up to throw, change the target to the other side of the map. Because the game had already checked that the target was in range, it would let it go through and you could throw grenades across the map. Their aim sucked at that range, though.

I must have been about 12 when I discovered that toctou bug.

@0xabad1dea you can speedrun 5 levels and get to 100 on lockpicking by finding a chest/door rated anything below Very Hard, move the pick to an already-completed pin, and just hammer the space bar repeatedly.
