๐Ÿ ELECTION DAY.

โœ… PLEASE VOTE.

We all know what happened to our cousins in the USA when they failed to turn out their vote, don't let that happen here.

Know where your polling station is, bring a bottle of water, make sure your phone is charged and plan for a bit of a wait.

Your country needs you and it is the very least you can do. #CanadaElections #ElbowsUp

@mike donโ€™t forget photo identification - vote if itโ€™s happening in your area
@AliHeaPalk Great point!

@mike @AliHeaPalk

If you don't have photo ID, you can bring bills or government correspondence with your name and address on it as proof, or get someone who is registered to vouch for you..

@mike Relatively quiet so far at the polling station Iโ€™m working but advanced polls were crazy busy!

@graand @mike yeah I wondered that. My polling station was relatively quiet. Took me 15 mins tops.

Then I realized advanced polling is only at 2-3 places per riding, but election day you have upwards of a dozen polling stations, so even if there is a crowd its a bit more spread out.

@mike @tezoatlipoca Yup. The polling location Iโ€™m working has five polling stations so the traffic is kinda balanced. This same location only had one advance poll station and apparently got backed up almost an hour for part of those four days.
@graand @tezoatlipoca At the advance poll I went to there were only two stations set up and the line went according to last name. Unfortunately all of us pesky A-L's showed up and almost no M to Z's
@graand Thank you for your service today Grant!
@mike Your welcome but full disclosure itโ€™s a (not highly!) paid gig. Interesting tho and certainly worth the long day.
@graand It's actually my dream gig. Work once every four years. ๐Ÿ˜
