The #tankies I've argued with didn't seem worried about hierarchy vs #anarchy, but more about the evil US foreign policy. "An undying hatred of the Empire" I recall one saying.

Now I can respect that. I might quibble about some examples, but it's a moral and evidence-based opinion.

The problems happen when they take the next, very human, step and conclude that then the US adversaries must be the good guys. The world just doesn't work that way.
