So, they're arresting judges now.
@petergleick and liberals think there will be new elections lol
@hejsimon
Another person who uses the word "liberal" as insult and doesn't know what the word really means. How uneducated did people get.
@petergleick
@martinrust @hejsimon @petergleick You're telling me political labels like liberal, conservative, socialist, communist or fascist have lost all their meaning beyond referring to that specific ingroup's bogeyman?
Yeah, right. That would be silly 😂
@tecHunt
Conservation is good, liberty is good, social and communal stuff is good. So, yes, I'm a proud conservative, a liberal, a socialist and a communist. You may call me inconsequential, but fascism is different. Outside of the Italian language, any word derived from 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰 has never been used for anything other than the henchpeople of Mussolini and his likes. Like my view or not.
@hejsimon @petergleick
@martinrust @hejsimon @petergleick defining one thing as inherently extremist while allowing others to have non-extremist versions... and then admitting your own bias all in one post.
I'm kind of impressed.
@tecHunt
Sure the understanding of a word is also a matter of social conventions and how universally they are adopted. Getting back to liberalism, it's AFAIK only in America, and only since the agitating of #RushLimbaugh, that the word has been associated with negative connotations. Everyone should agree that liberalism is a good thing, particularly in a country that claims to be the Home of the Free.
