The "cloud" is merely a concept invented to explain why the sysadmin is on call for Linux servers they don't physically own.
@nixCraft I once worked with a manager who would say things like sysadmins and server people are no longer required as we use cloud. There is nothing to manage he would proclaim. He'd also say the cloud has unlimited resources and then get really confused about disk space bills rising as more space was consumed. He honestly thought as it was sold to him as 'unlimited resources', there would be no extra charge. Glad I no longer work there.

The cloud has and always will be someone elses computer. I used the say the same sentence but the context was that there is no cloud, just someone elses computer.
