Last week I dropped my phone one time too many and it's a brick.

On the plus side, I therefore had a super relaxing, completely offline Easter weekend.

On the other hand, now I'm realising I that without a smartphone I can't:

- Use my commuter pass on the train
- Check my work email
- Get past any journal paywalls outside the office
- Host any online meetings
- Make any online payments (e.g. for a new phone!)

The lists goes on... it's truly disturbing how dependent we are on these things.

@joeroe the rush for 2fa has broken many things.

I can't buy stuff on my phone anymore, because when I respond to SCA 2FA thing from the bank, it swaps the browser out of memory, and the payment page has reset by the time I get back. I have to use a separate device for the transaction and save my phone for the authorisation step.
