I know they say emacs is an operating system with a bad text editor, but I happen to think emacs is a great text editor, that also happens to be almost an operating system.

@rk Theoretically, what do you think acme would have to have to qualify? Window & tag selection, presumably, but what else? I’ve often wanted something like the Canon Cat’s Leap search.

I wrote a Canon Cat-like editor using GTK+ way back in the day, and toyed around with Archie (in Python).

IMHO, Leap is kinda uncomfortable unless you’ve got Leap keys under the spacebar…

(I was >< this close to winning a Canon Cat on eBay in like 2008. I’m still bitter I missed it.)
