Stupid question
Is single family meant to be one residence per lot.
If so, my block in Glenview is labeled single family, but has many 2-3 residence lots, with a few apartments in the neighborhood.
When I bought in 1986, there were only two of with ADUs, though it was zoned for multi

@kevindalley yes, single family = 1 house per lot (ADUs don't count).

Many places in California have been downzoned in the mid-20th century, so even if its a single family zone now, there may be older apartments built before the downzone.

@alfredtwu
Thanks. Much of lower Glenview zoning is confusing to me.
RM-3 is common near Park Blvd.
RM-2 near MacArthur
RD is a big chunk in triangle between Park Blvd and MacArthur toward Squeal Creek, with individual lots having some allowing 2,3 or 4 single family homes
4 units abound
And the signs areca mix of Lee and Taylor
