I get the sense that manufacturing jobs are being confused with higher paying automotive jobs. But those are higher paying due to decades of unionization, to which the Republicans are allergic.

Am I getting this right?

@ScribblersEmporium @hacks4pancakes yep, and the whole reason why American manufacturing went to China is American companies didn't want to pay union wages or deal with American environmental standards.
