business brain idea: what if I set up a giant floating factory and park it in international waters ... can I evade #tariffs ?

@patrick_h_lauke I know this isn’t serious, but…
1) resources to build/power the factory would come from somewhere, most likely the nearest country, who would probably take you over, or threaten to
2) if you made/stored anything of value, pirates would likely attack you
3) products need a “country of origin” so most places wouldn’t be able to import it
4) unless you have a central bank that’s connected to SWIFT, nobody could pay you

…which all seems like a lot of effort.
