There is now a blog on my website! Unlike my Digital Garden which contains evolving notes, the blog features more polished, complete articles that I've spent time refining.

First article: What Software I use and where it comes from. I’ve been wanting to put together an overview for some time now, and the current global circumstances have motivated me to finally make it happen.

Is it important to consider the origin of software, or does it not really matter?

The Software I Use | iamrob.in

robins own little space on the internet

@iamrobin it's your blog, it's autobiographical, so I think where/when/why is pretty crucial. But then that mentality might be where the recipe blogger reputation comes from!
@jasper To get it right: you mean the timing is not the best to consider the origin of software, since the topic is currently to emotionally charged?
@iamrobin I would include it. If it's still relevant then it's useful, and if it's not but you're still using it I think that's interesting too.
@jasper interesting perspective! I also have the faint feeling that it is a little too superficial to mention only the country of origin without looking more deeply at the effects. Maybe will consider this for another iteration of this topic. Thanks for your input!
