White liberals are determined to believe Biden was a scrappy little fighter for the ordinary guy because he occasionally gave a speech or released a memo or some agency advisory that didn't actually do anything or make any difference.

Like, Lina Khan was the most useful member of the administration, which is why Harris promised corporate donors she would get rid of her.

The things Biden was passionate about -- like genocide -- he was willing to break the law over.

The sum total of Biden's four years was some student debt got forgiven, we got some free COVID test kits, we finally got out of Afghanistan, which promptly collapsed into Taliban control again, and we helped kill a whole bunch of innocent people in Gaza for no reason.

The people most satisfied by the Biden presidency were affluent white suburbanites who didn't want to have to think about politics anymore after Trump -- and they definitely didn't want to hear about Black, brown, or queer people's problems anymore either. They're also largely the same bored, checked out, apathetic "civics 101" types downplaying the threat of Trump today and assuming the courts -- or someone -- will keep him check. They're only really concerned about their stocks and 401k.
