Disrupt Norms
I’ve been in #Kenya for a month now and here are some observations.
#chakula (#Food) edition:
The crispy edges of #ugali at the side of the pan taste like tortilla chips.
Nyama choma and kachumbari (grilled goat ribs served with something similar to pico de gallo) is the best dish ever.

@disruptnorms Bananas boiled in stews taste like potatoes.
#chapati is fantastic, but don’t you dare call it bread.
Wash your hands! They will often bring a basin and some water+soap to you before and after a meal. Or maybe a hot towel.
Tamarillo is not for me.
Masala spices for every occasion.

@disruptnorms I’m a fan of hard apple cider. In #Kenya I have been given Snapp and Tusker. Both are good, but Snapp is lighter and less sweet.
