https://cooklang.org/ looks amazing. It's the markdown of recipes.
Cooklang – Recipe Markup Language

Cooklang is a markup language for recipes.

@pedro The most incredible thing about this is that I genuinely can't decide if it's an amazing tool or an incredible joke.
@pedro that's awesome! I was prototyping something similar a few years ago be never got around to actually finishing it. Very glad this exists, because a standardized way to describe recipes allows us to process them in so many interesting ways! (From shopping-lists to XR guided cooking, etc.)
@pedro I wouldn't have focused on making it human-readable though, and instead focused on programmatically describing the process and steps. Then it would have been easy to use to make a parser that makes it human-readable in any language.
@pedro https://recipemd.org/ is another good format to write recipes in markdown

@matsmdt I didn’t know about this one. Thanks for sharing this one :). Also it’s so cool to see more devs that like iOS and Elixir
@matsmdt @pedro thats the best part of the standards
@pedro very excited about this, thanks for sharing! I tried to create something like this for myself but didn't get very far
@pedro ohh they are in Mastodon too: @cooklang
@pedro oh my shit that actually looks like a really useful thing! fuck! :D I love it!
@pedro But can it do conversions between metric and imperial measures?

@pedro

#CookLang seems like an extremely cool thing, not least because sharing recipes online would be simply a matter of moving a text file around.
