It's a bit embarrassing for a Buddhist monk to be pushed to this extreme, but I (metaphorically) agree. Moral people can't just sit around being moral. Sometimes we have to stand up and do it.

It's true that people who consider themselves moral have often used this principle as an excuse to behave indecently. But that doesn't change the fact.

Mindful action is a necessary part of morality.
