@ccshan Honestly, yes. The airplane scuffed my boots to hell and I couldn't figure out how to re-shine them. Luckily I was surrounded by heterosexuals and nobody commented on it.

@aphyr I think @gdog once had a colleague at a conference comment on, and get down on the ground to closely inspect, his boots...

@ccshan @aphyr oh yes. Our trade conference in NYC that year… I asked him a question during Q&A, and he found me after the panel. “I’m a boot fetishist. Your boots are stunning, can I take a picture?” After getting a yes he just went down to the floor…
