Whenever anyone asks why my "coffee table" is an orange metal bench, I will direct them to this photo of my father's "dining room table" (which I am low-key jealous of).
@Alice
Looks cool. Is that AI-generated? I don't see anything supporting the table.

@ldmay65 It's a real photo, but I am also confused!

@Waitnwallflower For real! My father just sent that photo to me because he put that San Francisco painting over his mantle because it reminds him of me and I was like "that is very nice, but can we please talk about the rad booth in your dining room?" I've been staring at the base and I cannot figure out how that table is suspended/mounted.

@Alice Maybe it's the angle? There could be one leg on the opposite side with a support bar under the table.
Did you tell him his photo has us confused? Lol

@ldmay65
@adhdeanasl & @fedward explained the witchcraft!

"The steel bar at the far end between the benches has an upright obscured by the table itself."

@Alice @ldmay65 @adhdeanasl @fedward I can feel the bruise on my knee in that picture. I hit it so many times in various fast food places growing up. The benches scream Burger King though, I don’t remember anywhere else that would have slats like that.
@Alice @ldmay65 @adhdeanasl @fedward I just realized it’s also giving strong “Wendy’s with an international food bar and greenhouse room” vibes too! I could totally do damage to a whole lotta hamburger buns sliced into strips and turned into garlic bread…
@Alice @adhdeanasl @fedward
Whew! That would've bothered me at 2 a.m.
I see it. I thought it was part of the fireplace at first.
