I should have enough data from this to figure it out. if woodinville is 10.08 miles closer than renton, that should be enough to give me a line and make a triangle with a limited number of solutions.

The other common default is the geographic center of the US.

@xaritech @attoparsec that’s a weirdly complicated answer because kinda but it’s not meaningfully with a side-helping of it depends and a second side-helping of
visibility can be set by poster.
But mostly I’m like “so do I want to debug this?” because I might. If you view orignal post (as I see it here) do you see the same replies? If so you’re good.
@moira @attoparsec yes. I see the whole thread now. Thinking back, I think I originally saw the post earlier, but didn't have time to respond until later. At which point I still had the thread as it appeared when I first saw it as I had left the app sitting there.
So user error, not tech error.
