If you've never sailed, I'd strongly suggest the small boat classes even if your ultimate goal is keelboat. It's easier to learn on a small boat, and just easier to get on the water on the spur of the moment.

Right now I'm doing one small boat, one keelboat class, but all the instructors are great people (and US Sailing certified)
