Whenever I see the Glasgow Harbour Development, I can't help but think it's a major missed opportunity. If the Meadowside Granary (demolished in 2002) could have been kept and turned into flats, it would have looked amazing, as well as being something unique to Glasgow.

Even if this wasn't possible, I'm sure something a lot more in keeping with the city's architectural and industrial heritage could have been built here instead, rather than these rather generic-looking tower blocks.

@thisismyglasgow And there seems to be no infrastructure at all! No shop, no restaurant, not even a cafe (I don't think), and, crucially, no public transport. This is only for people who commute to work in their cars and go home to sleep.
I sometimes go running there, and it's absolutely dead.
@polarbear You're right, no cafe or shop, despite it being an absolutely prime location for one. I've commented on this many times to friends. The cost of including some commercial units would have been minimal, but would have increased the attractiveness of the development substantially.
@thisismyglasgow looks like how I'd make a town in Lego when I was a kid.
