I would rather see your shittiest most half-assed napkin doodle than a single frame of your finest AI slop.
@rayglittersoft @summerfallwinter if you're saying you like AI, but you actually mean that you like the current stable of LLMs, then I question whether you are paying attention to how they are being misused in order to hurt people, including you.
@rayglittersoft it's really hard not to think you're trolling me right now, but I don't understand what you could possibly be getting out of it. You have access to a global repository of all human knowledge; I suggest you learn about the things you like.

@nonehitwonder I do, and the things I don't like...

What do you like?

@rayglittersoft loads of things, but I can't say I like the trajectory of this conversation, because I am finding your methods of engagement to be suspicious. What, may I ask, prompted you to chime in to this thread to tell us you like AI?
@nonehitwonder A friend boosted autumn's post, so I thought it'd be worth investing
@rayglittersoft okay, I'm taking you at your word. What is it that you personally like about AI, if I may ask?

@rayglittersoft Right. Well, AI didn't invent those particular ponies; people did, and then another person took all those pictures without permission in order to teach their AI to draw ponies, and then THEY charge money for their AI to crank out ponies that are not as good and made out of stolen pony parts.

That, if you are curious, is an oversimplification of why a lot of people don't like AI.

@nonehitwonder Yeah, making money out of it is bad. Who are "THEY"?
@rayglittersoft Well, "they" are often large collections of people employed by corporate interests that are interested in making more money forever, which are themselves run by mostly white male oligarchs with a vested interest in perpetually gaining wealth and dehumanizing anyone that exists outside their immediate circle of influence, because then they can force those people to make them more money forever.
@rayglittersoft again, these are oversimplifications, and this isn't really where you should be getting this information.
@nonehitwonder "More money forever" is a bad business model, I mean, everything is built on love at the end of the day
@rayglittersoft everything worth a damn in this world definitely is.
@nonehitwonder No. Everything is built on love, those with money are just playing shops
@rayglittersoft also, it's really bad for the environment and is also being used to hurt people in more material ways, like when they are seeking jobs or medical care.
@nonehitwonder Not... medical care... :(
