Been inspired to make a little more progress on the #Minecraft #cathedral we're building.

It is based loosely on the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de #Chartres including the labyrinth which @solcita designed and rendered. The build was my primary coping mechanism in the earlier part of the pandemic and as spoons allow, @solcita and I continue on it just as the pandemic continues.

It's worth noting that this world is a Survival world, and all of the diorite used to construct this cathedral is mined by hand. The floor is made of half-block and lit at intervals from beneath with torches lending to the criss-cross pattern visible. This is in part to prevent the spawning of mobs.

I wanted the impossible forever project, and it has not disappointed. 🙂

@glitch25 @solcita Verrrry nice.

One of these centuries I should get back to my megastructures world...

@tithonium @solcita Thanks! Share pics if you do!
@glitch25 @solcita cathedrals are known for taking centuries to build....
@glitch25 @solcita Bedrock or Java? (I worked on Bedrock for a couple of years.)
