For EU folk it could be a game changer. If, *IF* there's enough value. As a recurring TB donor I'm definitely not paying to have my email stored on US soil.

If your government asks, you will have to hand over data no matter where the servers are physically located. The only way out is to be technically unable to hand over data, e.g. via end2end encryption similar to how Signal does it, in which case it doesn't matter where the servers are.
