Printed a replacement top for my #ploopyadept - I broke the support on the scroll-lock button. Looks fine but it wobbles. Now to transplant bearings.
@ploopy - any tricks to removing the bearings with axles to transplant into a new top section?
@psarant Nope - a pair of pliers should be all you need to pull out the old ones and transplant them into the new Top.
@ploopy Fantastic, thank you for the boost in confidence. I did it - swapped out. Wish I had thought about how easy it was - behind the bearings was… a bit dirty. My case isn’t as smooth, I should have printed on the glass side of my bed - but I didn’t want to recalibrate to print. I think I’ll be ok with the texture.
@psarant Still looks great!
@ploopy Thanks - print went well. But cursor is skipping about (and growing large on MacOS - when you jiggle your cursor to locate it). I’m guessing my filament is too shiny and the optical sensor is struggling? I’m trying to paint the inside cup with matte paint to see if it helps.
