While in line to attend a concert with his parents for their 47th anniversary, my friend Frank was swarmed by security and cited with trespassing after facial recognition identified him over a shirt he designed in 2017 that was critical of billionaire James Dolan.

He was not wearing the graphic at the time, and was subsequently prevented from attending a Knicks game with his parents the following night.

A fan was ejected from a Knicks game in 2021 for wearing a shirt calling out the team’s owner, James Dolan. This week, the designer of the shirt was swept up in the saga when he was informed that he, too, was banned from all Madison Square Garden venues.
