Lmfao. So there's a labyrinth puzzle in botw and I just went "nope fuck that" climbed up the walls and immediately found the exit without having to deal with any of the flying guardians

Sorry bout your cool labyrinth Nintendo but I don't got time for that shit

Also killed a lynel finally. Stasis+ works real well on them
@eniko congrats! You're entering the big league now!
@Ronflaix yeah things get a lot easier when you have tons of food, 9-10 hearts, an extra stamina bar, and upgraded armor and runes
@eniko With time you'll devise more ways to deal with them, they're a big example of the rewarding-the-curiosity aspect of this game.
There's one specific Lynel I came back to every time I launched BotW because past a certain point, I just have fun. I almost feel like the design of their fights is a gateway towards the Souls-like hah
@eniko hah! I did the same!
@eniko multiple motion control gimmick puzzles where you can:
a) guide a ball through a small maze by tilting your controller, or
b) disconnect the joy cons, flip one completely over and just let the ball roll in a straight line, with maybe a wrist flick to give it a little toss
@eniko
In the original Metal Gear Solid, there's a puzzle where you're supposed to follow your guide's path through a minefield.
After failing a bunch of times, I got mad and just stormed straight through. It worked.
@eniko like many situations in BoTW, it succumbs to a number of different approaches. But I did what you did.

@eniko

If you mean the proper big mazes then I think at least one of them requires you to go into the maze to solve it and get the reward.

Wait till you play ToTK, the mazes have an extra sky and underground element to them.

@eniko I'm happy that breath of the wild was the first nintendo game to just let you abuse the systems and go "Wow... that was cool. Good job." Usually they are so explicitly rigid you have do insane things to get past their intended path.
@eniko sorry but I'm calling the police
@eniko I always assumed that that was the intended solution anyway.
@eniko big "I'll fly over this mountain" Morrowind vibes
