Instant noodle pots.

These were spicy and a bit sour, and almost outfaced me (there is a lot in a single serving).

(I knew the internet would provide, thank you).
This one is non-bueno.
It was angrily spicy, a bit like eating a termite mound, but that was its only feature (no mix of savoury or sweet, just a harsh spice flavour).
I very much like ticking things of the list but shan't be buying this one again.
Sun Yan basically saving up to be Cup Noodles.
A universally forgettable flavour. Lots of gubbins at the bottom which would normally be something I'm into but in this instance resembled what might be scooped up from a 10 year old washing machine filter.
I knew this one was going to be good before I opened it.
I like the brand and I think I am drawn to that 'chickeny, maize-like flavour'.
Savoury, a bit of a kick, although I have had better.
This was a good one.
Lovely shrimpy flavour and a heat that built but was more comforting than jarring. Would eat again.
This was epic. Beefy, not too spicy but with a very pleasant heat that builds gently.
I'm thinking 8.5 out of 10.
Dissapoint.
I would give this a 2/10.
It was spicy but that annoying spicy I don't like. Was quite miffed because I love those stupid internet memes about Maggi with the German pigeon.
A bit "one-note". Not a terrible flavour but nothing exceptional.
I would eat it again if offered but probably wouldn't buy it again.
I was pretty trepidatious about this one seeing as the other Maggi noodle pots I tried were pretty substandard.
Maggi 1. https://infosec.exchange/@lukeharby/115229994332858097
Maggi 2. https://infosec.exchange/@lukeharby/114546382104153543
But this was really good. A nice oniony/earthy/mushroom/umami flavour not overly spicy but a little heat that built. Nice and balanced. Would definitely eat again.
A solid 8.5
I can't remember the flavour from this. It wasn't awful but also maybe not a standout.
I did like that there's 5 little sachets included.
Edit: Oh hang on there was a nice sachet of a flavoured coconut cream. I think maybe it was quite nice and I would have it again. I think it was beefy.
@scruss I buy them all from the same Asian supermarket. And only eat them when I am at the studio. So pretty infrequently.
I guess the whole thing is a sort of experiment. Have never had any with fresh noodles.
I am a big fan of the Mama pot brand. But I had a load more documented on my old Masto instance before it went under.
@lukeharby don't have them too often either but there are three large Asian supermarkets in this neighbourhood with selections from Philippines, Korea and Japan. I'm spoiled for choice.
One company has realized there are enough small mutants out there who like crunching on dry noodle pucks. They've released snacking noodle packs. Their mascot looks suspiciously similar to one of the Monster Munch creatures
