Brian R@sixohsix It’s a great piece of software. Very nice when used through Apple TV. While it’s essentially free, the reasonable one time lifetime fee does provide access to a lot of older 2nd tier content, movies and TV.
@brianrsmith I seem to have access to a lot of stuff on Plex without any fee. However it's mostly in German. This is where the piracy attracts me: There are a lot of movies not available for streaming in Germany, or only available dubbed in German.
@sixohsix Can’t comment on the privacy angle 😉 I didn’t know their offerings were geo-located, but I guess it makes sense. The features of the paid Plex Pass are admittedly limited, but since I use it so much, I felt the lifetime pass was reasonable enough to support the company’s effort with my hard earned cash. However, value is always in the hands of the payer.
