After multiple instances of longer detainment of tourists by ICE, both the UK, Germany, and Denmark now warn against traveling to the US. While Germany and the UK has general warnings for all tourists, Denmark specifically warns about being trans and traveling to the US.

It is likely we will see a significant drop in US tourism this year.

Welcome to the Trump economy.

@randahl Please don't go all meta-analysis on us Randahl! Please focus on the major issue and the biggest victims. The persons, humans, affected by this ICE and Trump-Republican interpretation that if you are <suspected of being an illegal immigrant> you have no rights. Whether your're one, or legal, or a turist or a US citizen, you have no fair rights. To hell with the turism, whatever its relevance.
@franciscos I absolutely agree, that the treatment of migrants is a much more serious problem. But it is still important to talk about US tourism, both because illegitimate detention hurts innocent people, and because it is an excellent example of how Trump has promised a great economy, and will likely deliver a recession instead.

@randahl I agree with your post and assessment however it follows a reasoning I see in the mainstream media, which often discusses very relevant subjects but then reduces them to some parallel or niche topic. I feel that, ultimatly, that diminishes the subject and feeds into the narrative that everything is relative, anything can be spinned.

# People's right to a fair life should not be subject to interpretation, be they migrant, trans, turists or whatever skinned.

@franciscos that is true, but it does not have to be bad intentions. For instance when I make a video, I often have to cut down on the details several times to reach a script which has a length people want to watch.
@randahl I did not meant to imply that you or your post had bad intentions, I apologize! Your posts have called my attention to things and perspectives I appreciate and value. Thank you for that! I also have a soft spot for the guy that keeps asking “who orders to kill and destroy and, why?”
