After multiple instances of longer detainment of tourists by ICE, both the UK, Germany, and Denmark now warn against traveling to the US. While Germany and the UK has general warnings for all tourists, Denmark specifically warns about being trans and traveling to the US.

It is likely we will see a significant drop in US tourism this year.

Welcome to the Trump economy.

@randahl Do you have some links at all? I would love to read more on what each government now advises. I looked at the UK GOV site but could not immediately see anything new.

@randahl I am looking at this page for example and I do not see it warning against traveling to the US but maybe there is some other page?

Entry requirements - USA travel advice

FCDO travel advice for USA. Includes safety and security, insurance, entry requirements and legal differences.

GOV.UK

@randahl The wording is a little harsher than other countries but that is all I notice.

A comparison for the "Entry requirements" sections for travelling to the USA and Norway, for example.

@randahl Ok, yeah it changes the wording slightly as I saw when comparing to other countries. But that is a little short of warning against traveling to the US.
@ruari when authorities change the text to reflect that you can be detained because the US regime is nuts, I consider that a warning.
@randahl I see where you are coming from and recently turned down a work trip to the US. I would also discourage people from going there right now. Nonetheless, this is not quite telling you not to go.
