ruffin@daringfireball Found the guy who’s never tried to fast forward to the third quarter of a game on NFL Rewind with an Apple TV. MLB.tv has had similar issues.
I hate the Roku Way too, but some of the apps have been more reliable and easier to use than their Apple TV counterparts (usually when the tvOS apps had custom players. Come on, folks). I’ve kept a Roku around for its alternatives to specific “not so delightful” tvOS apps.
Adrian Bengtson@daringfireball Unfortunately I get an Apple ad every time I watch an episode on ATV+ because Apple thinks it's a good thing to throw a trailer for some unrelated content (with potential spoilers!) in your face when you just want to watch Severance.
Magnus Ahltorp@aetles @daringfireball I hate this so much. I also get fooled into thinking the real episode has started every time. It hijacks your emotions.
