Socialism now! ✊🏼
I'm very happy to live in a country with somewhat decent #healthinsurance for everyone but I stand with people living in countries where this isn't the case

@stuffifound from east Germany and absolutely no socialism please. Been there done that. They took our cows and land and suddenly we can't farm anymore. In all of Europe we manage free healthcare without socialism either through mandatory public health insurance like in Germany (Bismark system) or through government health card like in Denmark

Ok boomer. Assuming you are even old enough to remember the DDR, that wasn't socialism, that was communism. There's a difference. But even communism is better than capitalism. In capitalism, people hoard and hoard over the backs of others, until the rich gat richer and the poor get poorer. Under communism and socialism, everyone will at least have their basic needs always met. More so in socialism than in communism, the latter sadly often going hand in hand with dictatorship. This page promotes socialism and direct democracy/anarcha-syndicalism. Don't like it? Don't follow me. Greetings from a fellow European from the country that invented capitalism and hugely suffers from it

@stuffifound part 1) first of all if you think insulting anyone who is not ur opinion is ok, go back to twitter. I hope Mastodon can have a better discussion culture (essential for our democracy).

Second, no I was born after DDR but imagine since I have parents and had grandparents I learned second hand about both socialists and Nazis. My mother was not against socialist but more reformist since the unification process had some serious economic impacts on the east that are still felt today.

@stuffifound part 2) you cannot just simply live in Germany without knowing a bit of it's history. Unlike Americans with slavery and it's current billionaire Nazi leaders, we have a thing called Erinnerungskultur (remembering culture) to not let history repeat it's self.

If you value democracy look up social democracy (true social democracy not that bullshit from parties like spd). The only good example of socialism is titoism but that ended as well into fucking genocide war once tito died.

@stuffifound part 3) movie suggestion: try watching life of the other's (also on Netflix). In East Germany unless you are loyal to the party and a party member and never say anything against it you can make it in life . If you have religion or are critical free thinker you will have lots of problems especially in their abusive power system. Social democracy is how you bring social justice and fairness (similar to @dielinke in Germany) while keeping the people in power in check.
Part 1, if you found my comment insulting then that's your problem. If you don't like contradicting opinions then maybe you should go to Twitter. Here on Pixelfed, I'm running this account and people contradicting my opinion will get a contradiction back. Including my opinion that you're acting like a boomer if you come up with some rubbish pretending you've experienced something you actually haven't.
Part 2, first of all I never said I lived in Germany, I even did leave a clue as to where I do live. But funny how you claim to be from eastern Germany and now talk about not letting history repeat itself, only a few weeks after the AfD became so big in your region. Not letting history repeat itself? You have some work to do!

@stuffifound (1/2) lol about AFD that's a separate issue. People here don't realize what the grand scheme of remigration is (corrective report 2023 on Potsdam) while currently they target criminals in their election program. Even african migrant germans I know voted AFD.

And how would you feel if someone called u a boomer? Just because you don't like my opinion you can't dismiss it with an insult like aipac would do with calling human rights defenders "antisemitic". Have some principles please.

@stuffifound (2/2) if you value democracy (do you? Otherwise we would have to argue on a different level), then I would really suggest to you to look into social democracy. If you play video games, it's the same concept. The more you level the harder it gets, making the game more fun. And life should be fun. Tax the rich but don't create walls to stop innovation. Create a wealth tax or inheritance tax (not one as useless as in Germany) to create equal chances in generations. No farmland taken.
Hold the phone, are you actually saying "it's ok to vote AfD because I know some POC who voted for them"? Seriously, you're part of the problem, very very much! Life isn't a game, and I'm very happy it doesn't work like video games. You may find that fun, I really don't. Socialism and anarchism don't create walls for innovation; it rather removes them.

@stuffifound no if you read anything I said, the problem lies in people not realizing the grand scheme of remigration. How do you think it feels when 42% of your village voted AFD but you have an immigrant wife and kids yet all immigrant families you know somehow support AFD?

You say a lot about your personal opinion about my opinion without giving any justification. But I say video game logic is very good. The richer you are the more % tax you pay, similar to leveling. Not applied right now.
