Is there some fedi account I can follow which will tell me when there is space stuff I should go outside and look up at?

I hate missing stuff like auroras :/

It would have to be something where one can follow an account specific for the area one lives in, Denmark in my case.

@tykling For unpredictable things like aurora, I think you need an app that monitors space-weather data and can ping you when there's a chance of something worth seeing. I haven't found the perfect answer yet but the one I use is called "My Aurora Forecast & Alerts" by JRustonApps (for Android).
@tykling I mean, someone _could_ write a bot to do the same thing and post to fedi I suppose.

It is highly unpredictable and the location of the peaks may change fast, but I've got reasonable results with: https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/auroral-activity/aurora-forecast.html
Aurora forecast

Below you'll find the expected global geomagnetic conditions (Kp) and those for the middle and high latitudes (K-indices). These values indicate the expected geomagnetic activity for any given 3-hour period for the next three days. This is the fastest way to quickly find out what kind of geomagne...

@tykling Not off the top of my head. I like following Dr. Becky's YouTube account for monthly updates on what's in the skies.

@tykling
@dlr_next gives info if ISS is visible over Germany. I think it is close enough, to also work for Denmark. They also post regular close ups from the sun.
@Shi @tykling For ISS visibility and position of stars and planets see our App DLR_next. For aurora prediction recommended: https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/

@tykling i've never seen anything like that on fedi, and in general i don't think i've ever seen a location-specific guide like that. but i know this very good site which has RSS feeds/newsletters about celestial events, hope it helps: https://skyandtelescope.org/subscribing-sky-telescope-rss-feeds/
