Spotify is literally hosting an Andrew Tate podcast on “how to recruit and exploit women for pornography.”

They were hosting three of them. Two were removed because of public pressure, but one remains. He literally should have no platform for any reason.

Please boycott Spotify until they end this. And contact them to let them know that he’s a repugnant pile of shit who needs to be punched in the face.

Spotify
@markwyner already been gone for a while but holy shite, now everyone, head to Bandcamp and Qobuz and BUY your favourite music! Or go and buy/rip CDs. Its a much better way to support artists and it's pay once and keep forever DRM-free :)))
@blayd @markwyner hm, i have to admit i like the comfort of streaming.. i've moved to tidal a few years ago because spotify doesnt pay artists basically anything at all.

Tidal is paying artists more but its owned by jack dorsey who is one of the sketchy american bilionaires.

I was thinking about moving to qobuz. Do you have experience with them?
@azucat @markwyner I guess my gripe is they really want you to subscribe, but if you want to stream in hi-res and have some hefty discounts if you go to buy something, its pretty nice. They've had a Linux downloader in the works for a while but its still only windows and Mac, a person from support said its still on the way, the team seems nice and responsive.
@blayd @markwyner okay i just checked qobuz out. They support free transfering of playlists etc. from other services which is cool. But sadly lots of my music from tidal isn't available on qobuz. I listen to a lot of more niche metal/punk/electronic artists so i guess it's understandable that there isn't everything available.

I kinda like the magazine thingy they're doing. Tho it appears as tho it is in big parts popular music,, so idk

@azucat

I also listen to tons of metal, punk, and hardcore. Most of the bands I listen to are selling on Bandcamp. And you can stream them a few times for free before you buy. After that you can stream what you buy forever.
