My application for sponsorship of #jqwik 2 by @PrototypeFund has been rejected (again).

I've decided to no longer apply for public funding. Given the high # of applicants and me being outside the intended target group (young, diverse teams), the chances of making it are just too low. It's not only about the application effort but also about the need to block the funding period from other endeavours until notification.

Thus, I consider two different paths for the future of #jqwik: ...

1/n

1. Find a company or private sponsor for the initial implementation of Jqwik 2 in the near future. Sponsorship should at least cover 50% of my working time for half a year or longer, so that's a quarter of a yearly salary.

2. Hand the project over to a willing party within 2025. And if there's no one to take over, I'll go into strict maintenance mode after that.

Given that option 1 is very unlikely to happen, I'm asking you to boost and retoot my next posting...

2/n

Who is interested in taking over the Jqwik library? With a stable Maven download number of > 1 million it's arguably the most used Property-based testing library for Java - and definitely the one with the most features and uptodate technology.

I will support the transition as well as I can. Don't hesitate to ask me about details.
