"Republicans are just digging a hole, let them dig" is not an acceptable strategy if the hole is your grave.
@ColesStreetPothole The collateral damage from these Nazis is already large. The longer they go, the more people they kill along the way.
@mhkohne They just disappeared a green card holder—perhaps even without a warrant—because his views were distasteful, calling them "aligned with Hamas." Feckless Democrats sitting by waiting for poll results are going to get a lot of folks killed.
@ColesStreetPothole @mhkohne
The Democratic Party is massively opposed to pro-Palestinian protests too. No way they'll stand up on this issue and risk pissing off the Israeli lobby, aside from a few outliers the rest will probably censure later or whatever.
@me_valentijn @mhkohne Agree. That's why the disappearing of Mamoud Khalil was a strategic place to start—no Dem in Congress save a handful will lift a finger to complain.

@ColesStreetPothole @me_valentijn @mhkohne It's why the Nazis went after the "obvious" targets first.

It was hard to argue with them when they were removing criminals, vagrants and "dangerous perverts" and it let them build momentum towards later directly attacking the political opposition and otherwise taking on larger targets.

@gooba42 @me_valentijn @mhkohne
Yup, annnnnnd that's why it is important to stand on principle, rather than on whose goose is getting cooked.
