TomasHradcky@KydiaMusic Not sure here. No question on the arrangement and production but… I guess the original resonated so with me that even reading the title has me wanting to cue up that original. My guess, though, is that Chris would have gotten a kick out of this.
I hear you. I feel similarly about Dinosaur Jr.’s cover of The Cure song, Just Like Heaven. Robert Smith liked it, but I think it strips the original of its most essential qualities which drew me to it to begin with.
However I can’t fault this guy for taking on the assignment and doing an excellent job of representing the song,* fitting it into that flawless pop boy band production style, and showcasing his own amazing talents.
