Here in Australia we had a comedy team on TV in the 90s.

One of their conservative characters (I forget if he was a politician or a businessman) uttered this aside: "I eat endangered species!"

I swear this timeline is being led off a cliff by those who've taken all the dystopian fiction and satire, and decided that's where they want us to live.
