U.S. military removes words 'history,' 'respect,' 'dignity' from digital presence as part of DEI review

The Department of Defense issued a Digital Content Refresh document to comply with DEI removal from the armed services. TPR obtained a document laying out the guidance of what to remove.

TPR
@heidilifeldman Despicable doesn't even cover it.
@heidilifeldman I โ€ฆ donโ€™t really have any words that can adequately express this outrage. ๐Ÿ˜ก
@PamelaBarroway Thatโ€™s because youโ€™ve read HISTORY, have RESPECT for our nation and unlike the GOP you still have your DIGNITY.
#GOP #USPol #tRump
@heidilifeldman Given the current political environment where there is no dignity, no respect and a disdain for history probably appropriate!
@heidilifeldman I suspect the navy and marine corps would be especially annoyed by that given how they present themselves. Outside looking in those two branches are very much about dignity, history, respect (to traditions) in how they present themselves in more formal affairs.
@heidilifeldman
Recruitment gonna nosedive. Civilian unemployment may force some to join anyway but they will be like draftees

@heidilifeldman
You know you are as a nation in serious danger if your military is left without "dignity" and "respect".

So much so that even their "history" has disappeared and been forgotten, which would have shown them what their predecessors died for.
For the very democracy they swore to protect against *every* enemy, and now, by following that order, handing it over to an authoritarian asset of Putin.

Nothing less.
What a shame.

@grootinside @heidilifeldman Acceptable words will include "kill," "Herr Fuhrer" and "sieg heil."
@BruceMirken @heidilifeldman Probably. Or like obey, don't ask don't tell.... Interesting that there is always only the list of forbidden words published. ๐Ÿค” ...never the internal one an army gets.
@heidilifeldman They are literally erasing history.
@heidilifeldman dignity, respect and history - I'm sorry, but we're going to be needing these words. What's next, love, honor, duty, humanity, Mom's apple pie, basic human decency? I've had it up to here and these people aren't leaders, they're insane.
@heidilifeldman
Is that nonsense traceable to a particular individual or individuals?
@heidilifeldman In 1930s, Germany also experimented with a military without dignity and respect. Didn't work out too well. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
@heidilifeldman Then the Air Force deserves no dignity, respect, or to have its history retold. It turned Nazi in 2 weeks. Not one officer acted on their oath. America is gone. I don't know what these frauds think they're defending.
@heidilifeldman equity? Isnโ€™t it equality?

@heidilifeldman

As a veteran, this infuriates me as it flies in the face of military history and heritage. I know command staff has to obey all lawful orders, but these orders do nothing to make our military better, only "whiter" and ready to have a pseudo-history replace actual history.

Does anyone remember when we used to condemn other nations for rewriting or purging history?
