Riverport is on my Rushmore. I think. Vote for yours: Osirispod.com/rushmore
Mt. Rushmore // Bathtub Gin

Help us form the Mt. Rushmore for one of Phish's most prolific jams, Bathtub Gin!

@rjbee.bsky.social Riverport is the 🐐. Game over.
That leaves 3 more. I agree.
@rjbee.bsky.social If the goal of the Mt. Rushmore is to show the most important in history, I think you need to add Murat for sure. Then Went and Rupp—even if neither of them make my top 5 favorite versions. Will also accept arguments for Magna.
Yeah. I think our debate will always be on 1-2 versions. Like Murat is important, but not top 4 most important to me. Will be interesting. Magna has as much of an argument as Murat imo
@rjbee.bsky.social Dude. Murat is the George Washington of Gins. It belongs on Mt Rushmore even more than the Riverport Goat.
You could argue it is the George Washington of true type II jams in general.

@thejediswitch.bsky.social So the next logical question, what is the Mt. Rushmore of Type-II jams? Measured by “importance” not “best”. I’d go with:
Murat Gin
Bomb Factory Tweezerfest
Albany YEM
Hamburg Wolfman’s

Last jam off: Albany Seven Beghost

Wow. That’s a good question and great list. Hmm

@rjbee.bsky.social @lumpblockclod @thejediswitch.bsky.social

Albany YEM and Murat Gin are easy.

Providence Bowie

Then I’m torn between Bomb Factory, Mud Island, and Bozeman.

@chopaganda @rjbee.bsky.social @lumpblockclod @thejediswitch.bsky.social I say Bomb Factory.

In my experience BITD the jams that "changed everything" were the Murat Gin and the Bomb Factory Tweezer. Undeniably.

@Neddyo @rjbee.bsky.social @lumpblockclod @thejediswitch.bsky.social Fair. We can also do this for late 3.0.

Mohegan Sun “Hopefulness & Happiness”

BB&T Pavilion “Just Smile Pt. II”

Coast Credit Union Music Park “Underground Sunshine”

MSG “Twirl While You’re Whirling”

@Neddyo @chopaganda @rjbee.bsky.social @lumpblockclod @thejediswitch.bsky.social has to include the Denver Ghost because of the impact it had internally on the band
@mrcompletely @Neddyo @chopaganda @rjbee.bsky.social @thejediswitch.bsky.social I debated Denver Ghost with Hamburg Wolfman’s. The Ghost is the perfection of what started with that Wolfman’s. (You can go further back to RiL, but a) there’s no signature jam from Fall 96 and b) the modulus bass was an essential ingredient). Both solid choices IMO
@lumpblockclod @mrcompletely @Neddyo @chopaganda @rjbee.bsky.social @thejediswitch.bsky.social I missed this conversation today and I have strong feelings on the subject that deserve a more sober approach.
@lumpblockclod @Neddyo @chopaganda @rjbee.bsky.social @thejediswitch.bsky.social yea I think since the band talked about playing that jam over and and and letting it soak in so they could absorb its influence it's kinda obviously the most "important" of that era. Without that evidence it's not even a debate I'd know how to approach.
